My name is Marek and I am a fully qualified psychodynamic psychotherapist who works in a private practice and at a Community Counselling Centre in London.

I specialize in depression and loss, managing life transitions, issues stemming from childhood, sexuality and sexual identity, and relationship intimacy.

I have an extensive experience in working with and supporting the LGBTQ+ community and their unique life challenges like coming out, internalized homophobia, self-esteem issues and other day-to-day struggles with psychological and social factors.

I offer short term brief counselling and long-term psychotherapy for individuals.

My qualifications and experience:

I hold an MSc in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and Counselling, having completed a rigorous training in Psychoanalytical Psychotherapy at Birkbeck, University of London.

I am registered with British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and I adhere to its ethical code of practice.

My clinical experience includes working for NHS at the Hetherington Group Practice, Clapham, as well as Community Counselling Services and the Maytree Suicidal Respite Centre, Finsbury Park, North London.

My philosophy:

I believe therapy helps people to develop a deeper understanding of themselves and their relationships to become free of old patterns, or simply find ways to

process pain or memories that have kept them feeling stuck.

I provide a non-judgmental and empathic

environment for sharing your concerns, fears, feelings and thoughts. My goal is to help you to understand your old patterns that are causing emotional distress and to facilitate your therapeutic change.

I strongly believe that we simply repeat what we don’t repair. I have a heart and a passion for the work I do in creating effective change.
