Psychodynamic Psychotherapy

Based on the principles of psychoanalysis, psychodynamic psychotherapy offers the opportunity to explore unconscious conflicts together with more conscious difficulties within a safe and containing client-therapist relationship.

The goals of psychodynamic therapy are a client’s self-awareness and understanding of the influence of the past on present behaviour.

Psychodynamic psychotherapy works on the basis that the mind is dynamic (affected by experience) and changes over time and in relationship to others.
